The excellent guys from Subcity Radio put on a night at The Studio Warehouse last night for the pleasure of the new wave of University freshers who have arrived in Glasgow. In their own words: “Summer’s over and it’s back to school…We’re ready to remind the old crew and show the new kids on the block how we do things around here.”

They didn’t renege on their promise to “boot the baws” out of the sound system: the bass made my voice quiver.

This photograph takes its title from a line in the song Being a Dickhead’s Cool by The Grand Spectacular. I should make clear I don’t know the guy in this photograph, and I don’t mean to suggest he’s a dickhead, but in any case I’m sure everyone who is described in the song - I’m sure there’s more than one line which describes me - will take it in good humour.
